Isn't today's date really cool? I especially think so, since it's the date my firstborn son was laid in my arms FIVE whole years ago. I really really really didn't think the Lord would tarry long enough for my son to be a kindergartener!!! But wowzers.

So, Bryson got a haircut this week (well 2 actually, because I totally gave him a dumb & dumber cut the first time. so then Dumbest [me] had to torture the boy again and this time with the clippers).

And he wore a tuxedo today. Oh yeah, turnin' five is a big deal at the Trenkles.

Sigh.

Actually, today was a big day for the Trenkles' first babysitter. Marybeth married her main man, Aaron, today and Bryson was the ringbearer who escorted his sister, Kennady, one of the flower girls down the aisle. And Bryan officiated the wedding.

Bryson's big day was spent with the fam. We were a family of 8 today, since we picked up Miki, too! We took everybody to Sonic and then to play at the park, and then a superquick bath, a really messy PBJ sand, a superquick nap and then a little puttin' on the ritz. Dad and the birthday boy strutted their stuff in some pretty fancy duds. After the wedding we rushed home for a superlate supper (homemade fettucinne alfredo ["white noodles" if you ask the kids the name of the recipe]) along with birthday cupcakes all round.

Saturday morning we are off to Portland to the Oregon Zoo. Lauren flies out on Sunday (boo-hooooooo-hoo) which is altogether much too soon.

aaawwwww....I wish we would have known about the wedding! We have a tux that Ethan wore when he was almost 2 that lil' Bubba could have worn! Like, full-fledge wedding tux....Bryson is a very handsome young man. I don't need to comment on Kenna 'cause all you have to do is recall all my mom's comment's. Apparently Kenna is the daughter my mom always THOUGHT her daughter would look like...hhhmmm..

Lauren IS NOT leaving on Sunday! I'm calling in some kind of threat to the airport in order to keep her here as long as possible. I love all the pictures of her holding Kee-Cat. They look so cute together. One real tall...one real small..

Jesus' Love on you guys!
